Scotia Road Books was founded in 2023 by Lynne Golodner, an Author, Writing Coach and Marketing Entrepreneur who had eight books published by small presses before creating her own imprint.

This boutique press appeals to indie authors who want a no-frills alternative to traditional publishing and who desire to bypass gatekeepers because they realize that outside approval of their writing has more to do with someone else making money off it than the quality of their story.

Our writers desire a guided experience by people who understand author branding, book marketing and what it takes to create a successful writing career.

Scotia Road Books is a hybrid press for rebel authors who want to do things differently and don’t want to conform to other people’s standards that drive the publishing industry. Like us, our authors try new things, hone their voices, take risks in their writing and have powerful and compelling stories that are important to share.

Publisher Lynne Golodner seeks to shepherd talented women authors over the age of 40 through the journey of publishing and marketing their writing.

We publish contemporary, historical and literary fiction, narrative memoir and essay collections. We celebrate all women’s voices, as a hybrid publisher producing a small number of books each year to bring voices and stories that are not typically sought after by mainstream publishing houses. Our writers bring critical stories about the human experience that need to be told.

Scotia Road Books is a proud member of the Midwest Independent Publishers Association and the Independent Book Publishers Association.
